ELECTCOM PRO Elc1910 DVD Player
Budget
What it is
A compact DVD player that plays discs from regions 1 through 6, so it is not locked to North American DVDs. It upscales to 1080p, connects by HDMI or RCA, and plays MP3 and JPG files from USB. It does not play MP4 video from USB, and it does not play Blu-ray discs.
Who it is for
For a household with discs from more than one region, or for an older family member who wants big buttons and a remote that is easy to read in a dark room.
What to check before you buy
- Check your disc regions. This one covers regions 1 through 6, which is the point of it.
- Check your USB files. It handles MP3 and JPG, but not MP4 video.
- Know that it has no HDMI-CEC, so your TV remote will not control it, and the display stays on while it runs.
- It defaults to a 4:3 picture, so check the picture settings the first time you use it.
- It is very light, so give it a steady spot where the cables will not pull it around.
What is in the box
- DVD player
- Backlit remote
- HDMI cable
- RCA cable
Why it pairs with used media
We sell DVDs from all over, and a region free player means a disc from another region is not a paperweight. The big remote is a real help for the folks who buy our older titles.
