Amazon Basics 400 Capacity CD DVD Storage Binder

What it is

A zippered portable binder with a handle, mesh side panels, and fabric backed sleeves. It holds four discs per side per page, for 400 discs in total. It measures about 12.2 by 11.7 by 6.6 inches and weighs just under three pounds empty.

Who it is for

For someone with a big disc collection who wants to free up shelf space, or who needs to carry a lot of discs in one case.

What to check before you buy

• Check that 400 means discs only. If you keep the cover art in the same pocket, the real count is closer to 200 discs plus artwork.
• The zipper is the main weak spot. Some buyers reported it breaking after a couple of years, so do not overfill it and do not force it.
• Pages get hard to flip when the binder is full, and the handle carries a lot of weight at 400 discs, so keep it on a shelf more than in your hand.
• Buyers praised the space saving, at less than a third of a shelf compared with keepcases, so it is a storage win if you are willing to give up the cases.

Why it pairs with used media

Our buyers often leave with a stack of discs and no place to put them. This binder is the cheap way to store a whole collection in one spot.
